Who are we?

Our name “AUSSAN” simply comes from AUStralian SANitiser. We formed the business in 2008 to deliver only natural and certified organic hygiene products to Australian Organic producers. There was little available for certified organic food producers to effectively use for cleaning and sanitising their farms or production areas without jeopardising their certification.

Over the last 10 years the world has become more aware of organic food and the tribulations of toxic cleaning chemicals. Both these trends have seen the success of Aussan products expand around the world. 

One of the issues with “natural” cleaning products is there efficacy. Many natural cleaners fail to deliver as well as their toxic synthetic alternatives. Our cleaners and deodorisers have been tested in some of the harshest environments. Like industrial kitchens and livestock breeders.

Aside from our fantastic cleaners and deodorisers our range includes two powerful disinfectants. In their super concentrated form, they are named Aussan L44 and Aussan L42. (yeah, I know…  we are not very creative with our brand names. We spend all our energy on the products themselves.)

Disinfectants and food production, particularly organic food production, don’t usually go hand in hand. The challenge is to control food pathogens without poisoning the food. That’s where L44 and L42 fit in. Made from food-based ingredients our products can not poison food.

As mentioned L44 and L42 are super concentrated. At low dilution rates of 1 or 2 parts per 1000 L44 is an effective food contact sanitiser. L42 at 5 parts per 1000 is an effective hard surface sanitiser.
